If the sword & sorcery genre is to be taken over by indie cartoonists, let’s hope they’re all this good. Levon’s saga features wizards, pillagers, a masked vampire, a “pew pew” ray gun, and a cat with abs. Both goofy and genuinely suspenseful, with winsome clear-line(ish) art.

Note: The copies that are left of issue #1 are of the first printing, which was in a smaller format and had a slightly different cover than the larger one, but the story is the same.
