This Canadian-Californian painter and printmaker recently escaped from New York back to the SF Bay Area. Her picture stories have been collected in Secret Language from City Lights Books, and in the now out-of-print Quite Mad.
All of the books listed below except for Quite Mad are rare handmade editions of single stories, printed on heavy cardstock with rough-edged two-color covers.
You may want to get away from it all; this story proposes a destination that may or may not be what you had in mind.
A moment in a lake, and what a moment. Large, loose ink drawings, a few words at a time, a poem. Large format with sturdy cardboard covers and spiral binding.
There could be something lurking nearby; it might be scary, but at least it’s patient and maybe it even looks kind of cool. What to do?
